Where did it all start?
Viafin-Atlas was registered as a Limited Company in 2004. Several years before, our research group (FM Research) was formed in the City of Salisbury, in the United Kingdom. Our Registered Company Office is still here.
FM Research was set up to find out about male circumcision and its negative effects that it has undoubtably had on some men, who had been unnecessarily circumcised as a new born baby or as an infant.
We soon learnt that un-consented circumcision, genital mutilation, or 'being cut' without valid reason, inflicted long term and significant problems, both mentally and physically on many men all over the world.
We had the assistance from doctors and affected adult circumcised men, who had problems relating to their own circumcision. They all helped to put all this together.
With the assistance of NORM UK and several other 'anti' 'male circumcision' groups in the USA and beyond, twenty years later, we have become a world leader in the quest to help genitally mutilated men.
